Producer Confirms X Files 2 Movie

The producer of the X Files has finally confirmed a ton of rumors that have been floating around that a movie sequel is indeed in the works. He posted the following on his blog:
Several people have e-mailed to ask about reports that the second "X-Files" feature is finally in the works. A script is indeed in development, but I'm afraid that's all I can say. Thanks for your good wishes and support all these years.
So yes the earlier statements we ran that a sequel is coming turns out is very true. Good news for X Files fans, the question is, is it to late for the sequel?
