Scrubs Getting Ready to Go?

NBC’s comedy series "Scrubs" is in its sixth season, and fans were worried it wouldn’t make it this far after the fifth season was delayed as NBC seemed to de-prioritize the show in its premiere schedule. Now, there’s a question as to whether or not the show will be renewed for a seventh season.

Well, that question is one star Zach Braff addressed in his latest blog entry on his website. Fans were wondering if Braff would be back since "Garden State" and "The Last Kiss" seem to have given him the itch to leave the small screen behind for the big one, but Braff confirmed that he has signed on for another season, pending the show’s renewal by NBC.

"Needless to say, I am in and it will happen as long as NBC renews us for another season; which they have yet to do," writes Braff. Braff has good news though, because even if "Scrubs" is getting ready to go off the air, it will have one last stand.

"ABC which actually owns the show (through Touchstone) has said that if NBC doesn’t pick it up, they will for what would be the final season. So, I feel pretty optimistic that it will happen. All the actors and writers want it to happen."

"Scrubs" is a brilliant sitcom, though some feel the quality of the show will never be as great as it was in the first half of the series’ lifetime, but it seems like "Scrubs" is gearing up for it’s seventh and final season either way, and it just seems appropriate at this point.
