Smallville Season 6: The Close of a SeasonPosted by: JerricaWhen "Smallville" creators Al Gough and Miles Millar first realized they had a hit on their hands, they set a 5-year plan in motion. Well, this is Season Six for "Smallville" and now Steven DeKnight, a co-executive producer, writer and director for the series, is making promises of a cliffhanger to lead into Season Seven. DeKnight spoke to Sci Fi Wire regarding the focus on Lana’s pregnancy (in the last episode, we saw her suffer a miscarriage) and the love triangle between Clark, Lex, and Lana (Tom Welling, Kristin Kreuk, and Michael Rosenbaum) that brought tensions to a boil in the episode "Promise." "It won't be resolved, but twist and turns will be revealed. ... Definitely. The triangle [of Clark, Lex and Lana] will definitely become more pointed on all corners. Cross my fingers, the end of the season looks pretty damn exciting." DeKnight also foretold of a new villain, a mysterious and tragic re-emergence of an old thread for Lex Luthor, a Lois-centric episode called "Prototype," and the first new episode called "Progeny," which features guest star Lynda Carter ("Wonder Woman") and will air on April 19 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
