Gillian Anderson talks X Files 2

First David Duchovny talked about the X files 2 movie a week or so ago and now Gillian Anderson talked to Empire and re-confirmed that the movie is indeed coming, all be it with a different twist, quote:

"Theyâ€™re starting to talk about doing a feature again...Every year or two they talk about it again, but it seems like it might be for real this time. Somehow it seems like somebodyâ€™s really serious about it. I know that Chrisâ€™ lawsuit with Fox is over, so maybe now it can be done... All Chris says is that he wants to make a really scary horror, like a stand-alone episode. I donâ€™t think theyâ€™re interested in touching on any of the conspiracy stuff.".

Chris Carter, creator of "The X-Files", told SFX magazine in 2005 that he's still trying to get a second movie based on his classic TV series made.

"We are in negotiations right now. And because it's a sequel, there are peculiar and specific kinds of negotiations that are holding us up. I think that there's an appetite for it, but I think that it's got to be good. People won't just go and see anything. Whatever happens, I'm going to do something good that people will want to go and see regardless."

He didn't say much about the story, just one thing:

"Not a mythology one, for sure!"
