J.J. Abrams is bringing his old friends, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, on board to script his major motion picture debut, "M:I-3". Abrams is the creator of Alias and Felicity and is currently the new writer on Lost.
The movie is set to begin shooting in the summer of 2005. Several writers have been involved with the project, including Dean Georgaris, Dan Gilroy, Robert Towne and Frank Darabont.
