First Draft of

Superman-V have posted on their website, that the 1. draft of the screenplay for the upcoming Superman movie is completed. It is about 140 pages long and is titled (well who would have thought of that ?) "Superman".

The story is said to beginn at his roots, including the birth of "The man of steel" on "Krypton". There will be 2 villains. One of them is Lex Luther, and the other one is not known yet. Also the character "John Corben" will appear, but theres no proof of "Metallo" (his Alter-Ego) also being in the movie. There will be more characters, known from the comic books, but no definite word on who they are yet.
It is said, that the writers (Bryan Singer, Dan Harris and Michael Dougherty) are very pleased with the first draft, and a copy has already been sent to DC Comics' Paul Levitz. The greenlight on the script is expected in the next month.

Some casting news are up too. It is reported that "Jim Caviezel" will not be testing for the role of "Superman". But there is a new name: "Justin Baldoni". He auditioned for the Superman character and was taped for the producers (Jon Peters and Gilbert Adler). Also the casting for supporting actors is still running, and Bryan Singer is meeting actors and actresses to portray some of these roles. But it is not know who he is meeting.

There are some location news saying, that the studio work will be undertaken at Fox Studios Australia and rumors say, that some of the shooting will be done at Warner Roadshow Studios (Queensland). As a possible location for the "Daily Planet", the 545ft (166 metres) high appartement tower "The Peak" could be used as stand in.
