The Nerds are Back: Revenge of the Nerds!

According to Variety, Fox Searchlight Pictures is developing a remake of the 1984 classic Revenge of the Nerds. The storyline is basically in the title. A bunch of Nerds run around and seek revenge on all the jocks that have humiliated them in the past.

Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah will write the screenplay and McG and Stephanie Savage will produce.Adam Brody and Bret Harrison are set to co produce the film which was the product of their brainstorming. They pitched the idea on the set of Brodies show The OC.

They are gonna shoot for an R rating, which is always good to hear that their not afraid to shoot anything to "contreversial" for whatever rating. So far the only thing about the script that has been released is that it will be slightly different and probably feature some cameos from  the original film.
