Naomi Watts Not Starring in Birds Remake.. yet

We had a chance to catchup with Andrew form and Brad Fuller to put them on the spot about the remake of The Birds. We have 2 tidbits worth noting. First is they dont even have a script yet. But they expect to announce something in the next week or two. Also Naomi Watt's was approached about the film, but without a script Brad said it best. No good actress/actor signs on with a film without a script at the least. So no Naomi Watt's is not starring in or comitted to the project... with the big caveat of ... yet!

 

The new movie is being based on the book that Alfred Hitchcock based his movie on. At least its not a remake... I think.   Nothing equals "The Birds" for sheer terror when Alfred Hitchcock unleashes his foul friends in one of his most shocking and memorable masterpieces. As beautiful blonde Melanie Daniels (Tippi Hedren) rolls into Bodega Bay in pursuit of eligible bachelor Mitch Brenner (Rod Taylor), she is inexplicably attacked by a seagull. Suddenly thousands of birds are flocking into town, preying on schoolchildren and residents in a terrifying series of attacks.
