Usher to Play James Brown?

James Brown has just died and now their is already word that Spike Lee will be tapped to do a biopic on the music legend. The part that REALLY worries me is that the word is that Usher is wanting to play the role of James Brown via FilmStalker. Hopefully Spike Lee will not go this route and pick a serious actor to play the role.
 
Fergie is also interested in the film. The film will be made by Paramount, no woord on a release date.
