Dean Reviews Shaun of the Dead DVD

So lets get right to the point. Shaun gets dumped soon after this, and decides to go and sort his life out, one prob Shaun, Zombies are hanging around! My fave scene id in this part where zombies are everywhere in the street and he goes by his daily routine without noticing!

Simon Pegg has done many great comedy rolls (Don't know if you used get Spaced over there though) and brings his writng and acting skills to his role. Just as Nick Frost does for Ed, as Dylan Morranis does for... so on and so on.

Shaun is sharing his house with Ed and Pete (Great quote by Pete : Cock-a-fucking-doodle-doo) when Ed notices the firat zombie in there yard. As they go to investigate they realise that the female is odd, by the simple fact she got impaled by a pole and got up. Then you see another big zombie. As they return to there home they are told on the news to destroy the brain to kill them and to dtay calm.... as a zombie walks in!
They try to stop this zombie when Ed viciously smashes it's skull in with a snow globe. Next well just see the next scene it is CLASS ON A STICK so I won't ruin that for you.

When Simon and Nick get out of there house to save Shauns girlfriend a whole knew element of the film is brought in. The action parts. Ah cricket bat and spades to the head.. so great. While Ed enjoys himself Shaun is very scared and worried about his well being.

All this leads up to the part of the film mainly worried with human emotion and action. It was too sad and depressing the last few parts, I did like the death of Dylan (ala Joe Pilato- Rhodes) getting ripped apart, with his girlfriend going after him through the door allowing zombies in. Many characters die in this scene and only two survive, well properly.

The ending was a surprise for me, kinda a twisted happy ending me thinks. Just to see how many jokes are crammed into the film is hard too.

Deleted and extended scenes- Some good some not
How damage was made to look real on the zombies
And loads more personal camera moments.
BUT my personal favourite is FUNKY PETE- you gotta laugh at that, hahaha
