Zoom hitting DVD Feb 17th

Leaping in a single bound from the graphic novel to the silver screen, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment unveils Zoom:  Academy for Superheroes on DVD February 13, 2007. Starring Tim Allen (The Santa Clause films, Galaxy Quest), Courtney Cox (TV’s “Friends,” Scream 1, 2 and 3), Chevy Chase (National Lampoon’s Vacation), and Spencer Breslin (TV’s “Two and a Half Men,” The Shaggy Dog), Zoom:  Academy for Superheroes promises thrills, justice, and family fun for all! In addition, the special features on Zoom:  Academy for Superheroes give an insider’s glimpse into the film’s eye-popping special effects and tips on how to become a superhero. The DVD will carry an SLP of $26.96.

Jack Shepard a.k.a. “Captain Zoom” (Tim Allen) is an out-of-shape auto shop owner, far removed from the man who once protected the world’s freedom.  Reluctantly called back into action by the government, Jack is charged with turning a rag tag group of kids with special powers into superheroes to save the world from certain destruction. Tucker (Spencer Breslin), Cindy (Ryan Newman), Summer (Kate Mara) and Dylan (Michael Cassidy) each possess a unique and special power that sets them apart from everybody else their age. They also share something else – a yearning to be normal. Will they learn to control and harness their powers in time to save the world…and be home for dinner?
