New Director for Doom Movie!

Variety has reported that Andrzej Bartkowiak has been signed on to a 'pay-or-play' deal with Universal to direct the upcoming Doom movie, based on the best selling id game.  He has replaced the previously 'attached' director Enda McCallion, who has left the project for personal reasons.

Bartkowiak is a long time cinematographer with credits on movies such as 'Species' and 'The Devils Advocate'.  Bartkowiak began directing on Joel Silver productions like 'Romeo Must Die', 'Exit Wounds' and 'Cradle 2 The Grave'.

Considering all his work while directing has been with rap stars turned movie stars (or at least, they TRY to) does that mean that some rappers will be in Doom?  Wouldn't mind blowing a few of them away with my super shotgun!!
