The 4th Beast: Mask of the Antichrist

The highly anticipated Biblically themed actioner "The 4th Beast: Mask of
the Antichrist" staring Rhode Island native Joelly Mejia is headed into the
final stages of but for those waiting for the late arriving film TimeCode
Mechanics is offering a low priced ³Preliminary² version of the film.

Chicago, IL - September 05, 2004 -- This 4th Beast Preliminary version sales
for $12.95 and includes the whole film minus the score along with all the
trailers, an audio commentary and a musical slideshow. The DVD will also
feature music by Anna D¹Aloisio, Steve Hill and the Mounds and Chicago
Hop-Hop producer, ³The Beatsmith².

Between piracy and public opinion some people feel this is a coffin nail for
the production akin to the "Left Behind" strategy of going to video before
releasing the film in theaters but director Nathyn Masters doesn't feel it's
the same.

³What people want to know the most is whose going to buy a film for $19.95
when they can get it for $12.95.² say Masters, ³Some people just want to see
the film others want all the fixing, it¹s really a matter of what you want
from your DVD. Not to mention others who may want review pieces or extra
copies and don't need all the other stuff. Also $12.95 won't hurt the wallet
too bad."

Inspired by endtime aficionado Steve Wohlberg's popular book "End Time
Delusions" - a scriptural and historical breakdown the Bible's prophesies
concerning the Apocalypse - this is the only modern endtime film showcasing
a less popular but more scripture based Post-Tribulation view shared by many
Protestant Christians sects.

³What Nathyn really wanted to do was make something different than what's
out there.² Says Associate Producer Christopher Free, ³Nathyn¹s an action
fan so we made an action film with a post tribulation message and minority
characters as leads. All of these being things that are very different from
what¹s been done in most endtime narratives."

Free also spoke about the money aspect of doing an action film on almost no
budget. ³We did realized we only had a grand, probably less, so we worked
with what we had. We know this film isn¹t LXG or T3 but if this film
inspires other better funded projects and other streams of artistic thought
then we¹ve done what we set out too do.²

There are also questions about piracy but Masters doesn¹t seem all that
concerned. ³Well that¹s life in the big city. Times are tight right now so
some people may want to save a little cash and offering the preliminary
edition at a lower price may actually aid in preventing piracy. Otherwise
what can you do?²

Currently the ³Master Edition² of the 4th Beast is set for a Fall/Winter
release. Masters is currently starting pre production on Silvergun Samurai
(just listed in the Hollywood Reporter), an HK styled action film but is
tossing around ideas for a possible better funded sequel to The 4th Beast.

"If there's an actual story and more to say, which I do believe there is,
then I'll do another one but otherwise I'm not looking to pile on a bunch of
sequels. I'm not really interested in milking the Christian audience and
Endtime genre fans for money."
