If you're eagerly awaiting the start of the SciFi Channel's cult phenomenon "Battlestar Galactica" in its third season, then you have teasers to keep you satisfied until the big premiere. SciFi.com has been running two to three minute webisodes every Tuesday and Thursday at midnight. The webisodes serve as prequels and will lead up to the Season 3 premiere on October 6th, when "Galactica" debuts at its new time at 9PM Eastern Time on Fridays.

SciFi's fresh and hi-tech "Battlestar Galactica" is a revisiting of the 1978 series starring Lorne Greene that lasted only one season. The new "Galactica" stars Edward James Olmos ("Stand and Deliver") and Mary McDonnell ("Dances with Wolves") with notable appearances by Lucy Lawless ("Xena") and Richard Hatch of the original "Battlestar."

The SciFi.com prequel is titled "Battlestar Galactica: The Resistance," and it will follow-up the events of the Season 2 finale, carrying fans through to the new season. The official website, SciFi.com/battlestar, also features a one-hour recap called "Battlestar Galactica: The Story So Far." The webisodes are currently up to #6, but all webisodes that have debuted to date are available for viewing in archives. There are 10 webisodes all together, and the remaining four will be exhibited online as regularly scheduled over the next two weeks until the season's start on October 6th only on the SciFi Channel. Watch the Battlestar Webisodes at SciFi.com. Also be sure to Enter to win the 2nd season of BattleStar Gallactica on DVD
