White Noise 2 : The Light Movie Review

I had a chance to checkout White Noise 2 The Light and admittedly I was wary. It stars Nathan Fillion who is best known for FireFly which gave me some hope but I was still very concerned. I am a big fan of the original film since I found it to be very creepy and Michael Keaton did a fantastic job in the movie but it really left no room for a good sequel. I was afraid this would end up like the american Grudge 2 movie. Another needless continuation. I am pleased to report that the filmmakers who worked on White Noise 2 knew better then to insult fans with a lame sequel and have delivered a fun and unique supernatural take on the first film.

In White Noise 2 a man's family is murdered and he is brought back from the brink of death and discovers he can now see when people are going to die. As he helps save these people he soon discovers that their are consequences.. evil ones.

Nathan Fillion stars as the father of a murdere wife and son and as always he delivers an emotional and very believable character. This is not his typical jovial hero role and for the most part the character is very strong and you find yourself attached more and more to him as the movie progresses.

I am not going to give you the gist of the movie because I really do not want to spoil the film but I can tell you this one is not about a man sitting in front of a TV trying to talk to his dead family. Instead its about a man who takes a much more active role with the dead, and ends up having a close encounter with much more then just evil things in the TV. Overall its a very unique take on the first film and a very good sequel. The key things that stand out are a very strong story that I believe is even better then the first film. Add to that the fact that the story doesnt go in a straight line, it twists it turns and each event, no matter how small is tied together. I have to say that I enjoyed White Noise 2 just as much as the first one. If you enjoyed the first one or mildly were entertained by it I think you might find this second one even better! Well worth buying in my books!
