SAW 6 Movie Review

Its Halloween almost again which means that once again Lionsgate is going back to the trough and trying to milk more out of the Jigsaw cash cow. The entire series has been made for less then $40million and has made the studio almost $670million at the box office alone. Throw in DVD sales and its no wonder I am now writing about SAW 6 and thinking about  SAW 7 and SAW 8 and SAW 3D which are all coming.

SAW 6 is more of the same but thankfully its also not SAW 5. SAW 5 was a debacle. It sucked from start to finish and was the definition of a last minute cash in on the SAW franchise. That said SAW 6 is nothing like SAW 5. Although it does not hold muster to the original SAW which was easily the best SAW 6 blows away SAW 5 and is on par with SAW 4 which I really enjoyed.

Back are diabolical traps, insane carnage and explosive killers... literally and metaphorically. The film is simply put gorey, intense and at times quite disturbing. It lacks any really thrills or twists but it is definitely a trip down torture porn lane. Having seen the movie its not a big shock that SPAIN gave the film an X rating.

SAW 6 is more of the same but it also breathes new life into the SAW franchise. Admittedly not as good as the first 3 its definitely a step back to SAW 4. If you like a gorey and stomach turning good time with a few twists and turns then SAW 6 is for you. This is no hitchcock but its definitely a film that made the audience in my theater groan in agony at some of the scenes. Gruesome and to the point SAW 6 is what you might expect... and maybe more.
