The Proposal Movie ReviewPosted by: Rainbow RayI "propose" that if anyone wants to see a fun, funny, warm and somewhat romantic movie then I would suggest they see Sandra Bullock's latest flick, "The Proposal" which also stars Ryan Reynolds. It's about a Canadian woman living and working as a book publisher (a real vixen too) in the States and who is being deported UNLESS she gets somebody to marry her and that would be the poor sap played by Ryan Reynolds. So up to Simka Alaska they go to meet his family (Ryan being blackmailed all the way) and prepare for the upcoming "fake nuptials". This movie is terrific because the storyline shows how two people can "never fake love and marriage" by trying to doing the old "end justifies the means scheme" and "The Proposal" does a great job in doing so. Bullock and Ryan shine in this romantic comedy that consists of witty scenes and dialogue and a great plot (Bullock's character is from Toronto and for that I am greatful because that's my hometown. Rah! Rah! Rah!). Betty White (from "The Golden Girls" and "Mary Tyler Moore" fame) co-stars along with Mary Steenburgen and White looks great for about 90. I'm surprised she is still acting. Despite for a few somewhat "corny" scenes, "The Proposal" makes a great date movie and a second time arounder in terms of viewing. It also goes to show what people can do for "so called love" when in reality, we should just let love take it's course, whether we're being deported or not. Make sense? I thought so.
