Our post high school, rocker wanna-be's Josie (Rachael Leigh Cook), Melody (Tara Reid), and Val (Rosario Dawson) are aspiring to find success in their own rock band. They have a style of their own, but they have no idea how to make it big --even their wanna-be "manager" can't get them a gig! Playing from their garage to the local clubs; they just can't get ...no love.
Unbeknownst to our rag-tag band is the evil conspiracy lurking behind the entire music industry that has been dictating trends, fashions, and popular products for decades. When the music industry finds itself needing a replacement band ...and quick... a chance "run-in" with the recruiter for the music industry's largest label, Wyatt (Alan Cumming), thrusts "Josie and the Pussycats" in to superstardom almost overnight...
It's almost too good to be true... and the inquisitive crew find themselves in a wee bit of peril as they begin to uncover the truth. As they suspect that CEO Fiona (Posey) is behind the corporate plot to brainwash America's youth, they set out to make things right and, of course, it all ends in an all-out cat-fight to the finish! ;)
