Probably best known for his role of Luke Danes on the critically-acclaimed WB series “Gilmore Girls,” Scott Patterson is an accomplished actor in film and television and also a former major league baseball player.

Born in Philadelphia and raised in New Jersey, Scott attended Rutgers University. A professional-caliber pitcher, upon graduation he signed with the Atlanta Braves. Scott also played for the New York Yankees and the LA Dodgers before retiring and focusing his attentions elsewhere.

Scott began studying acting in New York with renowned acting coaches Robert Lewis and Sondra Lee. He was trained at the Actors’ Studio by such notables as Paul Newman and Arthur Penn.

Since then, Patterson has appeared on the big screen in LITTLE BIG LEAGUE with Jason Robards, THREE WISHES with Patrick Swayze, RHAPSODY IN BLOOM with Penelope Ann Miller and HER BEST MOVE alongside Lisa Darr.

On television, Scott has guest starred opposite some of the top leading women of the small screen. He has played the love interest of “Elaine” (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) on “Seinfeld,” “Grace” (Debra Messing) on “Will & Grace” and also opposite Jennifer Grey’s character in “It’s Like, You Know” and Sharon Lawrence on “Fired Up.” He has also appeared in several telefilms including ALIEN NATION: DARK HORIZON and voiced the character of “Lt. Farraday” on the animated series JUSTIC LEAGUE UNLIMITED.

Currently, Scott can be seen on the CW’s “Aliens in America” as father “Gary Tolchuck.” Scott resides in Los Angeles.
