Hiltzik is known for his work on the Sleepaway Camp series.. He directed Sleepaway Camp and Return to Sleepaway Camp. He also portrayed Fred Meyers in Grandma's Secret Recipe.
Robert had no idea that his 1983 film "Sleepaway Camp" had gained such a devoted following over the years until he was contacted in March of 2000 by sleepawaycampmovies.com's Jeff Hayes who then arranged for Robert to record a commentary on the Anchor Bay Entertainment DVD.
