Viewed, 2865x, Last Updated 2006-09-05 Robert Culp has had a remarkable career in feature films, television, off-Broadway theatre and Broadway itself. He is a multi-talented actor/writer/director. His feature film credits include Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice, PT 109, Hickey & Boggs, (which he also directed), Turk 182, and The Pelican Brief to name a few. He starred in more standalone Movies Of The Week than any other actor. On Broadway, when he was first starting out, he played opposite Katherine Cornell in “The Prescott Proposals,” and opposite Kim Stanley in “A Clearing in the Woods.” Culp won his first OBIE ever given for best actor of the year for his performance in “He” in the Russian classic “He Who Gets Slapped” off-Broadway. He wrote and directed numerous “I Spy” episodes, costarring with Bill Cosby, as well as “Operation Breadbasket” and “The Greatest American Hero” for ABC. In the recent years, Robert played Patricia Heaton’s dad in the series “Everybody Loves Raymond.” At the moment, he is writing and producing a feature film version of the famed comic strip “Terry and The Pirates,” by Milt Caniff.
