Matt Ross
Viewed, 3361x, Last Updated 2006-07-16 Ross is a versatile actor and director. Graduating from the Juilliard School, he is perhaps best known for his strong character roles. However, he received much recognition for the award-winning short film, “The Language of love,” which he wrote and directed. In 1998 he appeared in Whit Stillman’s “The last Days of Disco,’ followed by a role in Mike Newell’s “Pushing Tin,” in 1999. In 2000, he played Louis Curruthers in Mary Herron’s “American Psycho,” starring Christian Bale. His other films include “Last Holiday,” “Down with Love,” “Just Visiting,” “Company man,” John Woo’s “Face/Off” and Terry Gilliam’s “Twelve Monkeys.” In 2002 he appeared in the Stephen king TV mini-series “Rose Red” most recently played Glen Odekirk in Martin Scorsese’s “The Aviator.” Currently, he plays Alby Grant on HBO’s “Big Love,” a drama about fundamentalist Mormons.
