JAMES GANDOLFINI has made his mark in a variety of roles in over 20 motion pictures. Prior to Lonely Hearts he wrapped ALL THE KING’S MEN with director Steve Zaillian, starring Sean Penn and Jude Law. Gandolfini can be seen in the soon to be released ROMANCE & CIGARETTES opposite Susan Sarandon and Kate Winslet, directed by John Turturro and produced by Joel and Ethan Coen. Last year Gandolfini starred in Mike Mitchell's SURVIVING CHRISTMAS opposite Ben Affleck, and wrapped the fifth season of HBO's Emmy award winning drama, THE SOPRANOS where he stars as the series lead, Tony Soprano.  His portrayal of mob boss Tony Soprano has brought him three Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Drama Series.  He has also won three Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, including two for Outstanding Male Actor in a Drama Series and one shared with THE SOPRANO’S cast for Outstanding Ensemble Cast.

Born in Westwood, New Jersey, Gandolfini graduated from Rutgers University before beginning his acting career in New York Theatre. He made his Broadway debut in the 1992 revival of "A Streetcar Named Desire" with Alec Baldwin and Jessica Lange. He currently resides in New York.
