Francis Lawrence shot up the music video ranks at a lightning pace to become one of the industry's most sought-after directors. No matter which genre of music, Francis delivers unique visual stylings with a decidedly contemporary edge.

A recent Grammy nominee and recipient of two MTV Video Music Awards, Francis constantly defies categorization, directing comedy, beauty, narrative and portraits of urban culture. For Francis, the love of directing is primary, and that passion is reflected in every project.

His unique, award-winning touch has also garnered significant attention in the commercial advertising community. Spots, including CoverGirl, McDonald’s, Oldsmobile, Footlocker, and Mobil grace the small screen. A recent campaign for McCain is Francis introduction into the international market. As savvy in post-production as he is on set, Francis often uses special effects to subtly add depth to his work.

Recent credits include music videos for Destiny's Child, Third Eye Blind, and Nelly Furtado. Francis has also directed videos for artist's including Ricky Martin, Lauryn Hill, Jennifer Lopez, Brian McKnight, Enrique Iglesias, Sarah McLachlan, Seal, Aerosmith, Jay-Z, Pras, Third Eye Blind, En Vogue, and Wyclef.

He is making his feature film debut with "Constantine". A film based on DC comics Vertigo imprint.
