Brian Yuzna is a hard core horror fan. Since his childhood in Latin America he has been hooked on horror movies and weird literature, so it was inevitable that when he moved to LA in the mid-eighties to make movies he would work within the horror genre.

His first producing effort was the classic Re-Animator, based on the writings of the godfather of twentieth century weird fiction, HP Lovecraft. Yuzna went on to produce, direct and write other Lovecraft film adaptations, including From Beyond and Necronomicon, as well as Society, Return of the Living Dead 3, The Dentist, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, The Guyver and Crying Freeman. He is known internationally as one of the leading supporters of the genre and has successfully collaborated with European and Asian filmmakers on his endeavors.
