Are you ready to swoon and cry while you reflect on love and pain? No? Oh . . . Well how about watching this trailer anyways? 20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for “The Fault in Our Stars” and you can check it out down below.
The film is based on a novel of the same name written by John Green and tells the tale of finding love in the unlikeliest of places.
Hazel (Shailene Woodley) and Gus (Ansel Elgort) are two extraordinary teenagers who share an acerbic wit, a disdain for the conventional, and a love that sweeps them — and us — on an unforgettable journey. Their relationship is all the more miraculous, given that they met and fell in love at a cancer support group.
Josh Boone is directing based on a script written by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber. The film hits theaters on June 6, 2014.
So . . . I’m gonna go ahead and bring it up. Is the male protagonist a bit too pushy for anyone else? A lot of his dialog seems a bit aggressive. Particularly lines like “All of your efforts to keep me out are going to fail.” Out of context, would you think that was a line from a horror film or a romance movie? I know it’s a story about a woman who has built a wall around her heart, but the trailer is doing the guy no favors. Maybe it’ll be better in context.
