Walking Dead Black & White February Premiere, Who Cares?

Walking Dead Black & White February Premiere, Who Cares?Walking Dead Season 1 and season 2 will be re-released in February in black and white according to a tweet from one of the shows creators. I am a big fan of the Walking Dead franchise but frankly have to ask who cares?
Are you really going to get excited to watch the first two seasons of Walking Dead over again in black and white monochrome? This strikes me as a very lazy gimmick to drive up the ratings for AMC and offers very little value to fans of the show.

Clearly somebody at AMC is paying tribute to either the original black and white graphic novels or George Romero’s black and white Night of the Living Dead by releasing it in black and white. I honestly think its less likely they are fans of Romero and more likely just trying to pay hommage to the graphic novel and lure in even more fans.

Unfortunately re-releasing in black and white is not likely to win over the nay sayers who love the graphic novel and hate the TV show for going off track from the source material.

I never read the graphic novels and Walking Dead Season 3 is nothing short of fantastic and the first season was equally well done but I would much rather repaint my bathroom or fight off a horde of the undead then suffer through Walking Dead Season 2 again which is the bulk of what we would get in February

Are you interested in re-visiting Walking Dead Season 1 and 2 in black and white? Or are you going to just pass and keep waiting impatiently for the second half of Walking Dead Season 3 like I am? A record 15.2million people tuned in for the mid season finale of Walking Dead Season 3 and I am sure most of those folks have little interest in watching Season 2 again in black, white, purple blue or orange.

The Walking Dead is one of the best shows on television but only if we pretend that Season 2 never happened.
