Marvels Guardians of the Galaxy Movie First Look

Marvel was busy at comic con 2012 unloading tons of goodies and one of those was confirmation that Guardians of the Galaxy will indeed be a new film in their upcoming lineup. Along with the announcement we were supplied with the first look at the film in the form of a poster and concept art of what we can expect from the film.

Marvel through their partner Disney will release Guardians of the Galaxy the movie into theaters on April 1st 2014 one year after Captain America: The Winter Soldier gets released. The Mouse truly has become relevant again with its very expensive acquisition of MARVEL Films.

Guardians of the Galaxy is based off the 1960’s comic book of the same name and features a rag tag team of superheroes from the outer rim including fan favorite Rocket Raccoon. The cast of characters in Guardians of the Galaxy will include; Drax The Dextroyer, Gramora the daughter of Thanos ( seen at the end of the Avengers movie ) , Groot the ass kicking plant, Rocket Raccoon the ass kicking sharpshooting raccoon, Star-Lord aka Phil Quill their leader and a former earth astronaut.

Although the original comic was released in 1960 the film will be based around the 1990 reboot of the comic according to producer and Marvel champ Kevin Feige. The comic only lasted about 25 issues and its main villain was Thano’s whom we saw at the end of Avengers so the big question will be who will teh villain be? Thanos vs The Avengers in Avengers 2 or Thanos vs The Guardians of The Galaxy? Below is concept art of the characters we just mentioned courtesy of Marvel.
