Iron Man 3 Plot & First Photo

Although this post contains no real spoilers if you want to know nothing about the direction of the upcoming Iron Man 3 movie probably best to read no further. Iron Man 3 is going to incorporate some really cool characters and technologies which could take the Iron Man movie franhise to new levels.

That said anything will be an improvement over Iron Man 2 which was in a simple word a complete debacle in my view. Iron Man 3 will see the introduction of the Extermis armor which should be a very interesting angle and as far as villains go we will reportedly have The Mandarin ( played by Ben Kingsley ) and Coldblood and Firepower played by James Badge Dale and Ashley Hamilton.

The Extremis project is a new nano-armor technology that was created by Dr Aldrich Killian played by Guy Pearce. Iron Man 3 with three villains will be a full house but another interesting aspect is that according to the producer this film will take Tony Stark figuratively back to the cave. Kevin Feige tells Empire;

“So Iron Man 3 has been structured specifically to be the antidote to The Avengers… Circumstances in the story separate Tony from having access to anything.”

“We wanted to take Tony back to, metaphorically speaking, the cave fromIron Man, the first half of Iron Man, when he’s cut off from the world and needs just focus on his intellects to get himself out of his situation.”

Honestly I am quite curious to see how the Avengers angle plays into Iron Man 3. We just saw him team up with the earths mightiest heroes and it will be interesting to see how they exclude his new friends as Tony Stark  faces one of his biggest threats of all in Iron Man 3.

To add to the mystery below you can checkout a concept photo from Iron Man 3 that shows Tony Stark being accosted by armed men in the process of putting his suit on. What do you make of it all? What do you hope to see from Iron Man 3?
