Teaser Trailer For Rian Johnson’s Looper

Teaser Trailer For Rian Johnsons LooperRian Johnson has quite the personality- I’ve listened to him in countless situations such as interviews and even podcasts where he talks about other movies rather than his own and he is quite the character. I have seen his first feature, BRICK and I’ve yet to see THE BROTHERS BLOOM but after just watching the teaser for LOOPER this will likely be the first one of his movies that I see in theaters. Don’t get me wrong, I would likely have seen his previous movies in theaters if they had been released wide enough to hit my neck of the woods, but it doesn’t always work out that way.

The teaser for LOOPER is pretty awesome. I love Joseph Gordon-Levitt and it hasn’t changed here as he stars alongside Bruce Willis, Emily Blunt, Paul Dano and Jeff Daniels in a sci fi time travel mob film that just looks really really cool. For the most part the movie has a bit of a low tech look and feel to it but later on there are some shots that have some CGI and a polished look combined with the trailer music it just makes LOOPER look like it could be a pretty good ride.

The premise for LOOPER is as follows: “Time travel will be invented, but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they send their target 30 years into the past, where a “looper”—a hired gun, like Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt)—is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good. . . until the day the mob decides to “close the loop,” sending back Joe’s future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination.”

What do you think of the teaser trailer for LOOPER?
