Katniss Meets Cinna In Newest Hunger Games Clip

Katniss Meets Cinna In Newest Hunger Games ClipThe first official clip from THE HUNGERS GAMES gave us a glimpse of Katniss during training when she fires an arrow at the Gamemaker’s when they were ignoring her. Yahoo! Movies has just unleashed the newest clip from the film set to release on March 23rd with the red carpet premiere only a few days away. The clip features Katniss meeting face to face with her stylist Cinna for the first time. Katniss of course is played by Jennifer Lawrence and Lenny Kravitz steps into the shoes of Cinna. Lawrence seems to fit the character of Katniss just as well as I’d imagined in everything I’ve seen so far- Kravitz on the other hand, while he certainly fits the look of Cinna and the voice also fits the part, his dialogue feels somewhat wooden and not quite as up to par as I’d hoped. He’s not terrible, it’s just that his line delivery doesn’t seem quite right. All in all, I still really liked the clip and I still have high hopes for THE HUNGER GAMES.

THE HUNGER GAMES was directed by Gary Ross and also stars Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Donald Sutherland, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Stanley Tucci. The film adaptation was also recently praised by the book’s author Suzanne Collins who said Ross stuck very close to the source material while adding a new perspective that enriched her original material. Collins also praised the actors, but specifically spoke wonders of Jennifer Lawrence as the title character Katniss. The film will hit theaters nationwide on March 23, 2012 but you can head HERE to try and win free tickets to the advance screening taking place in 24 cities in the United States.

What do you think of the new clip featuring the first meeting of Katniss and Cinna?
