Project Sera is the coolest scifi horror short I have seen since BROKEN. Once again provig that independent filmmakers continue to fill the void left by the thoughtless corporate film making machine.
Director Ben Howdehell combines a talented cast of lesser known actors with fantastic visuals a great script and delivers a mix of 28 Days later meets Resident Evil. After watching this short film you will very likely have the same question as I do. Will somebody please get mr Howdehell a major Hollywood project? We know how much Hollywood hates original thinkers so lets tap Ben to direct the 28 Months Later film. I can think of no better choice and his short shows he can do it on a budget and deliver one hell of a thrill ride.
Project S.E.R.A. stars Julia Voth, Victor Webster and Dennis Keiffer. For those curious Julia Voth also starred in Bitch Slap ( worth checking out ) and was also the ‘physical inspiration’ for Jill Valentine in the Resident Evil game.
Synopsis: “A young woman wakes up in an abandoned warehouse as armed soldiers torture her father with an experimental biological weapon.”
