Twilight Breaking Dawn Reviews; What Did you Think?

Twilight Breaking Dawn has just hit theaters which signals that the franchise is creeping closer to the end which is bad news for die hard fans and good news for those  of you who have had quite enough of all the twilight shenanigans.

Twilight has been a monster hit for Summit Entertainment and has really enabled them to grow as a studio outside of the TWILIGHT movies. It also has launched the careers of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson but it will be seen if they end up being type cast and have their careers cut short.

This is our open forum where we ask you to tell us what you thought of Twilight Breaking Dawn. part 1. The studio broke the film into two pieces in my view to milk a few hundred million extra dollars from you fans but did it work? Is the film worthy of a two parter? Or did you feel leaving ripped off ?

Bill Condon’s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part. 1 is almost upon us and I’m sure you Twihards are gleaming with joy. To make you smile some more we have two new TV spots which you can view below.

Synopsis: “In The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson), plus those they love, must deal with the chain of consequences brought on by a marriage, honeymoon, and the tumultuous birth of a child… which brings an unforeseen and shocking development for Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner).

With more of the romance, passion, intrigue and action that made Twilight, The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse worldwide blockbusters, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, based on Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling book series, begins the conclusion of the tale of vampire love, boundless friendship, acceptance, and finding your true self.”

Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga is the best I have seen in 30 years.  Her ability to reach deep into humanity’s essence, emotions, fears, thoughts, and everything that makes us human, to me is amazing.  These books and movies are not a story about vampires and werewolves, it tells a story of our changing from a child to young adult.  Making choices, the feelings and fears we have deep inside as we enter into the balance of our lives.  She has been able to take those emotions and turn them into an explosion of fantasy.

To emphasize how raw and scary those decisions we all face at some point, really are.  So many of the negative reviews and comments I have read only tell me that they do not “get it” that they are what I call “surface thinkers”.  Really pay attention to the beginning to the end.  If you do not see yourself in these books or movies, then you are or have lived a very boring common life, too bad for you.

I have enjoyed reading each book, have watched each movie several times, and I still believe that Stephenie Meyer is amazing, insightful person.  Well done!

While I do get what you’re saying about understanding the story. Do remember that the MAJORITY of the people watching these movies are hopefully too young to have needed to look at things from that perspective. We do not want to force hard and grown up things on these kids until we have to.

I love The Twilight Saga books and movies more than anything else I’ve seen or read! I am glad they put it into 2 parts so they could fit eveything important into it. I’m going to hate to wait a yr to see part 2 but i bet it will be the best of all of them. I just don’t want to c it come to an end, maybe Steph will make midnight Sun into a book & movie! I will always love Twilight!

    • Ines

I really love this saga! I just couldn’t believe the way it ended! I thought it was a little different from the other movies as there were some gruesome scenes. But I’m faithful to these movies!

The movie was directed very well, but most people don’t even read the books anymore, and just go see the movie. If you actually read the books, in my opinion, the movie sucked because it didn’t follow the plot line of the book, and it messed it all up. Of course if you didn’t read the book, you will think that is was amazing, sweet and romantic, but Bella DOENS’T DIE WHEN JACOB IMPRINTS ON RENESME!!!

  3. Caroljtalley

I am a big Twilight series BOOK fan. I love Stephanie’s ability to carry the human imagination into a hundred different facets. However while I do like the movies, and Breaking Dawn was a good “movie”, I still believe they leaving something to be desired. If you truly want to know the story, do the old fashion thing, READ THE BOOKS! Thank you Stephanie Meyer again for the best series I have read in years. Loved The Host as well and can’t wait for the next adventure you take us readers on.

Yeahhhhh! Go Breaking DAWN! I part of the book and then left the rest to be a surprise. And DANG was I surprised and TOTALLY satisfied. Everything was perfect from the plot, acting(They improved a lot), music, and ERRRYTHING else. =)

The books are a great read…but the movie……I don’t know. I wish they had a taller better looking Jacob. Latner looks to much like a little boy…When reading the book I picture this huge tall Native guy…he was not the right guy to play Jacob…

    • Emma battaglia

You are CRAZY!!!! I think Taylor Lautner playes the part really well. If you think he didnt play it right, then who would have?? Lautner is very mysterious and the audience can always feel his emotions at the same time he is!! So I absolutly dont agree with you, Lautner played a great Jacob.

      • Guest

i would have to agree with you emma because repeatedly in the books it talks about the inocense of his face. what else represent inodcense than adolecence? …

If your truly a Twilight fan you should be highly upset at this movie.  Its all wrong im pissed that some one would take an amazing bok and turn it into such a bad screenplay. it ended terribly and too many important things left out i mean part two has alot of book to cover hope it delivers but i seriously regret spending mone to see this movie the version in my head that i got from reading is way better.

  10. nikkE

I loved the books and could not wait for the movie. But I was very!!! dissapointed with the movie hope part 2 is better it didn’t do justice to the book at all.

I watched The Breaking Down a weak ago and all I can say it’s worse than other parts. I like most af all The New Moon – frankly it was the first film of this series I watched and it impressed me so much that I watched others. But The Breaking Down is’t the very film I expected to see, it’s just… another story, I mean… to say nothing of bad actors (not all but Pattinson, Stewart definitely are): they are beautiful, very pretty, hot, but not talented. (To be perfectly honest, I think the success of The Twilight was provoked just because there were sweet faces, hot guys and very beautiful story about love, the story all girls dream about).
And a couple of words about a plot.
Firstly, I like Jacob maybe even more than Edward, and I didn’t like the way Jacob fell in love with Bella’s baby! He should love Bella, it’s the main line in the novel. His love was so dramatic, so touching…
And secondly, why Bella became a vampire such an extravagant way? Couldn’t she remain a pretty girl, adoring “a greek god”? Was it necessary to make her awful, ugly woman loving her vampire-baby more than her precious Edward (in former times)? She became an ordinary wife, not a lover, to my mind…

You should try reading the books – they are much worthier than the movies – so much gets cut out – answers & reasons why

if there were a continuity of the Romeo and Juliet it would be similar to the Breaking Down… so i personally think that the authors shouldn’t write and film such a continuity, they should stopped with the Eclipse.

  15. Lil Sis200

honestly the movie sucked i love the books over the movies. yes there is emotional scene here and there but comparing the movie to the book there is a big difference.

  16. vampire fan

kristen stewart is the worst actor ive seen in ages. she was a horrible pik for bella, so many talented young actors out there, and they pick her so ugly and scrawny i dont see how a hundred yr old vampire can b atracted to her, when i see them kiss it jus makes me cringe. I like to feel the passion when i c two characters in love, with them i dont.. nd personally i dont see why she is sooo depressed when she seems to have a nice group of friends and parents who love her, its not like shes a foster child.

  17. MGM

only the first part of the twilight was good
other parts keep getting worse !
the film has almost no action! and is definitely not worth watching with your family because of the of sexual content and nudity.
As for Kristen Stewart fans, if you watch the film more than once i assure you that you will hate this girl and wouldnt even like to spit on it !

  18. AylineBrown

I think breaking dawn was the worst movie i have ever seen what a dissapointment. The scenes made me physically ill and just when i thought it couldnt get any worse she awakens from the dead. I wouldnt waist another four ninety nine on ondemand for the second half
