Role: Sarah Conner Movie: Terminator. It’s tough to be a single mom raising a child, much less a boy who is going to lead the survivors of the apocalyptic uprising of Skynet. When it comes to taking down government programs Sarah Conner takes the cake because although she did not succeed she did go from ‘happy go lucky waitress’ to ‘ass kicking woman on a mission’.
The next time you think your domestic life is rough just be glad some guy didn’t come back from the future, win you over, impregnate you and leave you with a Dear John Letter that basically says ‘Love you, gotta go… PS your son is gonna be hunted till the end of days by terminator machines from the future’.
Sigourney Weaver
Role: Ellen Ripley Movie: ALIENS Space Travel, the only thing you really need to remember about it is that in space nobody can hear you scream. This has never been proven truer then when Ellen Ripley and her crew go space mining and encounter a strange new life form with acid for blood and a hankering for human flesh.
Ellen much like Sarah Conner goes from scatter brained and terrified to balls to the walls tough as she realizes that she needs to man err.. woman up and fight if she ever expects to survive these aliens. Things of course go from bad to horrible when the government gets involved in a project to domesticate the aliens. Ripley is one bad ass woman who shows that when it comes to Space Marines your better off with Ripley.
Summer Glau
Role: River Tam Movie: Firefly / Serenity What do you do when your sister is kidnapped and subjected to a government experiment that basically turns her into a semi-functioning vegetative mental state. Sure River Tam can walk around and has a big brother to look after her but at the flip of a switch she can go from introverted government victim to ass kicking super machine.
River Tam might have started out as a victim of ‘The Alliance’ being forced into experiments to discover what secrets her mind holds but in the end they created an ass kicking space fighter who joins up with the crew of the FireFly and firmly puts her foot in the ass of The Alliance while looking good doing it.
