After catching fire for the controversial and stomach churning nature of its contents, Tom Six’s THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE II: FULL SEQUENCE might just see the light of day after all. IFC has announced that they will release Six’s followup to weak stomachs with a limited theatrical exhibition on October 7th.
The cringe inducing sequel to THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE: FIRST SEQUENCE follows a man that is disturbingly obsessed with the DVD of the first film and decides to put the idea into practice. This time around the film promises to be much more graphic and upsetting than the first film.
As disgusting and depraved as the premise of the first film was, I didn’t find the actually application during the film to be as vomit inducing as I’d imagined it would be. I also didn’t think the film lived up to the hype and was ultimately impressed with some of the filmmaking and the doctor’s performance but let down by almost everything else. I can’t say I’m excited to see the followup, but I’m aware and that’s about the most I can conjure up for the sequel right now.
Do you plan on watching the sequel or avoiding it like the plague?
