Nicolas Cage, Nicole Kidman Trespass Movie

Nicolas Cage, Nicole Kidman Trespass MovieThe premise for the upcoming movie TRESPASS is quite promising as is the director Joel Schumaker who has done Phone Booth, Falling Down 8mm. Unfortunately the casting of two of my least favorite actors Nicole Kidman adn Nicolas Cage has made it a clear cut that I will be passing on this film unless the trailer completely blows me away. Trespass will hit theaters October 14th 2011.

In a private, wealthy community, priority is placed on security and no exception is made for the Miller family’s estate.  Behind their pristine walls and manicured gardens, Kyle (Nicolas Cage), a fast-talking businessman, has entrusted the mansion’s renovation to his stunning wife, Sarah (Nicole Kidman).

But between making those big decisions and keeping tabs on their defiant teenage daughter (Liana Liberato), Sarah often finds herself distracted by a young, handsome worker (Cam Gigandet) at their home. Nothing is what it seems, and it will take a group of cold-blooded criminals led by Elias (Ben Mendelsohn), who have been planning a vicious home invasion for months, to bring the Miller family together. When they storm the manor, everyone is tangled up in betrayal, deception, temptation and scheming. Kyle, Sarah and Avery will take the ultimate risk to make it out with their lives – and their family – intact.

from many screening at LA people said the movie is solid, well directed and acted. Great perf by Kidman and great cinematography. Give it a chance….Judging a movie before you have actually seen it is stupid. High professionists worked at this movie, I’m sure it will be great. Let’s see it and then we judge if it is good or not…This bad and negative preconception doesn’t sound right.

Cage and Schumacher have a history of very successful collaboration.  This is one worth checking out, I think.

  3. I saw a
preview tonight and this is a bad movie. Last 30 mins were just comically bad,
many in the theater were laughing at points of alleged high drama. This might
last two weeks at the box office.  Kidman
was awful and while Cage had some nice scenes early, in the end it was bad
script poor acting, sadly funny melodrama.

    Boo hiss!

Hollywood needs to give Nicolas Cage the roles he can really
shine in!  Nicolas Cage would be the
perfect Captain Nemo in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea!  I’m really hoping that Disney will remake it
in 3-D!  Also, he would make the perfect
Mandrake the Magician, which Warner Bros. is thinking of making.  Here
are two pics of Nicolas Cage, one as Captain Nemo in 20,000 Leagues Under the
Sea, and one as Mandrake the Magician:
