Luke our resident film critic had the following to say about Scream 4 in his review of it.

SCREAM 4 dedicates itself to cranking up the insanity and expanding on the original idea, especially in today’s cinema that’s obsessed with remakes and reboots. The characters are constantly debating and predicting the events of the movie based on rules that remakes are trying to one up the originals and so on. The best line of the film actually refers to the first rule of remakes and that’s “don’t f*ck with the original.” SCREAM 4 is heavily rooted in reliving moments from the first and recreating elements from it which is why the theme of reboots and remakes are perfect fodder for this sequel.

Directed by suspense master and director of the first trilogy, Wes Craven, SCREAM 4 is the newest installment in the acclaimed franchise that ushered in a new wave of horror in the 1990s.  In SCREAM 4, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour.  There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey (David Arquette) and Gale (Courteney Cox), who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill (Emma Roberts).  Unfortunately Sidney’s appearance also brings about the return of Ghost Face, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, along with Jill, her friends (Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin) and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger.

The SCREAM 4 Blu-ray™/DVD Combo Pack and DVD bonus features include a “The Making of Scream 4” featurette; an Alternate Opening; an Extended Ending; Deleted and Extended Scenes; and a Gag Reel. Checkout the new DVD Trailer for Scream 4
