The hype and the talk is over as tonight we can all finally get a load of the latest over the top action flick from Michael Bay. Transformers Dark of the Moon explodes into theatres tonight in most areas. In my case it is playing at 10:00pm at my local theatre and I will be doing my very best to get out to see it and report in with my review.
As always we want to know what you think of Transformers Dark of the Moon which is why we have setup yet another reader feedback poll for you to vote and say whether you think the latest Transformers movie is worth seeing or not.
To recap what critics have said so far the film is very long and at times quite drawn out. It features an incredibly epic last hour of nonstop action culminating with four major showdowns. Michael Bay had promised that the story and dialogue for Transformers 3 would be a step up from Transformers 2 but that isn’t saying much since Transformers 2 was mired by the writer’s strike and frankly it was a pretty weak sequel.
The other stand out note from Transformers 3 is apparently how bad of a performance Rosie Huntington puts in. Frankly considering she has zero experience and is quite literally just a pretty face nobody should be surprised if her acting is not exactly Oscar worthy. She is a Victoria secret model for crying out loud and in press interviews her excitement has been very clear on this being her first film which is great for her but perhaps not so great for film fans.
Michael Bay has been pushing hard for two things over the last while, that fans see the film in 3D and where possible see the movie in Dolby 7.1. He has talked high and low about the new 3D technology they used and many have said that Michael Bay’s Transformers Dark of the Moon could redeem 3D technology which in my opinion has fallen victim to cheap parlour tricks and subpar incredibly dark 3D.
That all said now it’s your turn. What did you think of Transformers 3? If and when you see it vote and let us know.
In Transformers Dark of The Moon the Autobots Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide and Sideswipe led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen.
In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime “Transformers” character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth. Checkout the trailer below.
