Leonardo DiCaprio In Talks For Tarantino’s Django Unchained

Over the years we’ve seen Leonardo DiCaprio play the heartthrob of a doomed romance, a mentally handicapped child, cunning con man, a mental patient in denial and a grieving dream thief. According to Deadline he is not in talks to play a villain role as Calvin Candie, a slave owner in Quentin Tarantino’s DJANGO UNCHAINED. Tarantino’s new film will take shape as a spaghetti western and DiCaprio’s role places him as the owner of a club that sexually exploits female slaves and throws male slaves into a fight to the death.

Earlier cast rumblings placed Will Smith in the role of Django, the freed slave that crosses Candi in order to free his wife. Deadline reports that DiCaprio’s casting has greater likelihood of becoming a reality than Smith’s. Other names in the casting process are Christoph Waltz and Samuel L. Jackson in separate roles, one as a man that trains Django and a slave valet driver for Candie. Along with Will Smith other rumored actors for the role of Django include Jamie Foxx, Chris Tucker and Idris Elba.

What do you guys think of DiCaprio’s casting and who would you like to see play Django?┬áVia: Deadline
