Paranormal Activity 3 Director/Writer Announced

Paranormal Activity 3 Director/Writer AnnouncedSome rather unexpected yet really awesome news has just rolled in thanks to Dread Central and Bloody Disgusting. The fellas that brought us the Facebook identity fiasco, CATFISH, have been announced as the directors for PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3. When I had heard that some big news had rolled in regarding the directors, I have to admit, these dudes were the last ones I anticipated to be announced. I had expected that Oren Peli would get back behind the camera and bring the events to fruition, but Peli is still stepping in as a producer so that’s still some good news. CATFISH directors, Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman have demonstrated that they have the chops to helm a first person type of movie with their documentary, which even has a strong sense of tension in some spots so the announcement is both unexpected yet very exciting. At least this time around there won’t be much dispute over how real the film is.

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2 writer Christopher B. Landon steps back in to write the third entry with Jason Blum, Akiva Goldsman and Stephen Schneider all on board to produce along with Oren Peli. The story is being kept a secret as you would expect so there’s no news on that front.

What are your reactions to the director news for PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3?

I think the directors of these movies (saw & paranormal) are sick in the head. The things they think of only give crazy people in this world ideas and its totally f***ed up when these stupid directors involve children in these movies! It’s disgusting!!!!
