Carrie Remake Is In The Works

Stephen King is no stranger to seeing his works adapted for the big screen. Several of his books have seen big screen treatments with varying quality and now one of his more well known and successful stories, CARRIE, is up on the remake chopping block. Screen Gems has snatched up Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa on to pen the script. Aguirre-Sacasa has also been tasked with revamping the Broadway play, Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark as well as co-producing the hit TV series Glee.

It is said Aguirre-Sacasa will stay faithful to King’s original story, more so than the original film. King and Aquirre-Sacasa are also familiar with one other as the writer worked on the graphic novel rendition of Stephen King’s The Stand. There was no other news regarding any talk on director or possible casting.

What do you guys think of the possibility of a CARRIE remake?
