The Hangover 2 is bar none one of my favorite comedies of the last 10 years and had me absolutely in stitches. So needless to say I am hoping that the upcomng release of The Hangover 2 will deliver similar laughs for me. It seems however the sequel has already run into controversy as the MPAA has made Warner Brothers pull the trailer from theaters. Why might you ask?
Apparently the R rated Hangover 2 trailer was playing in front of PG-13 movies which is a big no no. MPAA rules state that you can only run trailers for films if they share the same rating. So in a nut shell this means you cant play an R rated movie trailer in front of a PG 13 movie.
Trailers for “The Hangover: Part 2” are being pulled from theaters for violating an MPAA rule stating that films can only trailer before similarly rated movies. Frankly this is just more buzz and press for the film which is already setting the internet ablaze with early anticipation. The sequel hits theaters May 26th.
