FRONTIER(S) director, Xavier Gens, has premiered his new film THE DIVIDE at the SXSW Film Festival and has generated a decent amount of buzz because of it. U.S. rights have been picked up by Anchor Bay for a low seven figure price after screening for the first time Sunday at midnight.
THE DIVIDE follows a group of people that barricade themselves in a bomb shelter located in their apartment complex when a cataclysmic bomb blast tears apart New York and they all slowly begin to turn on each other. Karl Mueller and Eron Sheean wrote the script with Ross Dinnerstein and Darryn Welch producing. The film stars Michael Beihn, Milo Ventigmilia, Lauren German, Rosanna Arquette, Michael Eklund and Courtney B. Vance. No other release information is currently available.
