Captain America Sequel Writers Hired!

Captain America Sequel Writers Hired! There is no shock on this one in my books. According to Latino Review Marvel has hired writers for the Captain America movie sequel and its the guys who wrote the first one which hasnt even hit theaters yet. Considering how well received the TV spot for Captain America was I am sure this was just what Marvel Studios and Disney needed to greenlight the inevitable sequel.

Chris Evans is signed to a 6 movie deal which will see him do 3 Captain America movies and potentially 3 Avenger movies. Frankly I can not even fathom there being 3 Avengers movies. Can you? If they dont milk it to death by the second one I will be surprised but maybe I am still bitter over X Men: The Last Stand.

Starring Chris Evans as Captain America and co-starring Hugo Weaving as Red Skull and Tommy Lee Jones as The General it will be released into theaters in 3D on July 22nd.

Synopsis: Horrified by the newsreel footage of the Nazis in Europe, Rogers is inspired to enlist in the army. However, because of his frailty and sickness, he is rejected. Overhearing the boy’s earnest plea, General Chester Phillips (Tommy Lee Jones) offers Rogers the opportunity to take part in a special experiment…Operation: Rebirth. After weeks of tests, Rogers is at last administered the Super-Solider Serum and bombarded by ‘vita-rays.’ Steve Rogers emerges from the treatment with a body as perfect as a body can be and still be human. Rogers is then put through an intensive physical and tactical training program and, three months later, is given his first assignment as Captain America.
