Zack Snyder Confirmed As Director For Superman

Zack Snyder Confirmed As Director For SupermanAccording to Deadline, Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen) is tapped to be the director of the next SUPERMAN film. The article says that Zack Snyder himself has confirmed to begin work on the film as soon as post is completed on SUCKER PUNCH.

Some might disagree, but I think Snyder is a very good choice to bring the Man of Steel back to the big screen. He’s shown the ability to bring a graphic novel like Watchmen to life, and I think the visual style he will bring to the Superman universe will be striking to say the least. Zach Snyder told Deadline;

“I’ve been a big fan of the character for a long time, he’s definitely the king of all superheroes, he’s the one,” Snyder told Deadline. “It’s early yet, but I can tell you that what David and Chris have done with the story so far definitely has given me a great insight into a way to make him feel modern. I’ve always felt he was kind of awesome. I’ll finish Sucker Punch and get right at it.”

Superman Man Of Steel is being produced by Christopher Nolan and is a Warner Brothers project. The film is reportedly going to be released in 3D and is a complete reboot and will ignore the events of the Superman Remake which Bryan Singer helmed a few years ago. The Superman reboot, currently working under the title Superman”: Man of Steel, is hoping for a late 2012 release.

  1. Please, for the Love of God, give me a villain who’s not Lex Luthor… How about the Parasite?

  2. Love the choice, think Synder can really pull this off. Lets hope that Goyer only does the outline of the story and that Nolan and his brother get invloved with the script.
