This should come as no shock to anyone but today comes the confirmation most of us knew would be forthcoming. Christopher Nolan tells Empire Magazine that he will be directing the sequel to The Dark Knight;
“It’s becoming inevitable, I’ll put it that way,” says Nolan. “I feel myself falling into it, I guess. And getting it all figured out and I’m pretty excited about what we’re doing so… If I haven’t announced it, I think that people probably all know at this point that I’m doing it. I think you can at this point, yes.
Warner Brothers has made it clear that the Dark Knight sequel will hit theaters next July which means they need to get gearing up pronto. In related news Michael Caine told The Chris Moyles show that Dark Knight 2 will be shooting next may.
In other interesting news as much as Christopher Nolan has said he is not a fan of 3D the new Batman movie will reportedly be in 3d. High Def Magazine is reporting that Warner Brothers intends to shoot the upcoming comic flick in 3D from the start which means it will be like Resident Evil Afterlife and Avatar done in REAL 3d, not post production garbage.
